Introduction
Traditional contract drafting is often slow and repetitive.
Users typically need to:
-
search for templates
-
select clauses manually
-
customize terms
-
validate legal language
-
ensure compliance
This process can take hours or even days.
Legitt AI transforms contract creation through AI-powered drafting. Using Lana AI, users can generate complete contract drafts using simple natural language instructions.
Instead of manually selecting templates and writing clauses, users can simply describe what they need.
Example:
Create a contract between Legitt AI and NASA for implementation of Legitt AI CLM for NASA.
Lana AI understands the request and generates a structured contract draft automatically.
This dramatically reduces drafting time.
Key Benefits of AI Contract Creation
AI-powered drafting helps users:
-
create contracts faster
-
reduce manual drafting effort
-
maintain standard structure
-
improve legal consistency
-
accelerate business workflows
This is one of the core AI-native capabilities of Legitt AI.
Create & Review
The Contract Editor is where you draft, edit, and review a contract end to end. Start a document, draft it yourself or with Lana, run an AI review, then resolve tracked changes and risk issues before you send it on. This guide follows that draft → review → resolve path.
2. Start a Document
Before you start: you are in the editor, via Create or Click on Create & review button
-
Choose a start point: Blank, Templates, Upload, or Recent Docs.
-
Pick a template, upload a file, or open a recent document. The content loads into the editor.
- The document opens ready to edit. It takes its title from the source, or shows as Untitled until you name it.
3. Draft with Lana
What it's for: generating a first draft with Lana instead of writing from scratch.
Before you start: a document is open and the Assist panel is available.
- Ask Lana to draft - for example, “draft an MSA”. Lana asks a clarifying question to get what it needs.
- Provide the details it asks for - such as party names - or choose Use sample values to fill placeholders for now. Lana generates a draft.
4. Edit in the Editor
Before you start: a document is open.
- Format text using the toolbar on top of the document editor.
- Insert variables just by clicking on yellow color variables space. Type variable value and click on save button.
- Save your work. The editor autosaves, and you can also save manually by clicking on Save button.
5. AI Review
Before you start: your draft is ready. Open the Review tab by clicking Refine with AI button or click on save button first to saving the document review tab will be available next beside Assist tab.
AI Review looks at your document from three angles - a summary, a clause analysis, and a risk and compliance check.
5.1 Document Summary
- In the Review tab, click Rerun to generate a Document Summary or click on continue button.
- The summary shows the value, duration, parties, jurisdiction, and key provisions of the contract.
5.2 Clause Analysis
Open Clause Analysis for insights and a clause-by-clause list, assessed against your document's jurisdiction.
5.3 Risk & Compliance
Open Risk & Compliance for a risk score and a list of detected issues to address. Click on the document icon beside clause analysis and choose Risk & Compliance. Then click Fix button on all clauses one by one to fix the clauses' issues.
